Preaching at Bach Vespers in NYC
Sunday, February 01, 2009 —
Bach Vespers at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Central Park West at 65th Street, is one of the most enticing musical offerings in New York City. The central feature of Bach Vespers, now in its 41st year at lovely Holy Trinity, is of course a cantata appointed for the liturgical season, but Bach's music is set in a true service of worship similar to those in Leipzig where the cantatas were originally sung . For information about Bach Vespers, its artists, cantata texts, season schedule and more, visit www.bachvespersnyc.org
